Smoking hypnotherapy
Break the cycle at the source. Not with willpower, but with real subconscious change.
Smoking hypnotherapy at Revibe Therapy is designed to help you break free from the cycle that willpower alone has not been able to touch. Smoking is not just a physical habit. It is an emotional and subconscious pattern, and until you work with it at that level, the cycle continues. Our group practice specializes in helping adults get to the root of what keeps them reaching for a cigarette, so they can stop for good.
Smoking hypnotherapy works because it targets the part of your mind where the habit actually lives. You do not consciously decide to crave a cigarette when you are stressed or overwhelmed. That response fires automatically because your subconscious learned to associate smoking with relief. At Revibe Therapy, we use Cognitive Hypnotherapy to identify and restructure those associations, so the urge loses its grip at the source.

Why Quitting Feels So Difficult
If you have ever tried to quit and found yourself right back where you started, you understand the frustration. You feel motivated for a few days, maybe a week, and then something happens. A stressful conversation, a long day, a moment of boredom. The craving takes over before you even realize what is happening.
Sound familiar?
That is your subconscious at work. Over time, your brain built a connection between smoking and emotional regulation. Every cigarette became a way to cope, to pause, to feel something different. That association did not form overnight, and it will not disappear just because you decided it should.
Common triggers that keep the cycle going include:
- Stress and overwhelm that make cigarettes feel like a reset button
- Boredom or restlessness that your mind has learned to solve with a smoke break
- Social situations where smoking became part of how you connect or decompress
- Emotional discomfort like anxiety, frustration, or sadness that you learned to numb with nicotine
The good news? That same subconscious mind that learned the pattern can also unlearn it. That is where we come in.
How Cognitive Hypnotherapy Helps You Quit
At Revibe Therapy, we do not use generic scripts or one-size-fits-all techniques. There are no swinging watches. No loss of control. Nothing like the stage hypnosis you have seen on television. What we do is far more intentional and far more powerful.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy works by guiding you into a relaxed, focused state of awareness where your subconscious mind becomes more open to change. In this state, we work together to:
- Identify the specific emotional triggers, memories, and associations that keep the smoking pattern alive
- Reframe the subconscious connections your brain has built around smoking so cigarettes no longer feel like a source of relief
- Strengthen your internal resources for managing stress, regulating emotions, and responding to triggers in healthier ways
Every session is fully customized to you. During the initial consultation, we take the time to understand your personal history with smoking, the situations that trigger your cravings, and the emotional needs that cigarettes have been meeting. This step is the most important part of our process, because it allows us to design sessions that speak directly to your subconscious in a way that is relevant and meaningful to your experience.
No two clients receive the same approach, because no two people smoke for the same reasons.
What Makes Our Approach Different
Our group practice was built on a simple belief: therapy should produce real, meaningful results without requiring you to stay in treatment indefinitely. We are not interested in keeping you coming back week after week with no clear direction. We are interested in helping you resolve the issue and move forward.
When it comes to smoking, that means we go straight to the cause. Here is how our approach compares to other common methods:
- Nicotine replacement products manage the physical craving but leave the emotional driver completely untouched
- Traditional talk therapy can help you understand why you smoke, but understanding and actually stopping are two very different things
- Cognitive Hypnotherapy bridges that gap by working directly with the part of your mind that controls automatic behavior, giving you the ability to make a genuine, lasting shift
We also place a strong emphasis on your independence. Our goal is not for you to need us forever. It is for you to walk away with the emotional self-regulation, clarity, and internal tools you need to stay smoke-free on your own terms. As your progress stabilizes, sessions naturally taper off. You move forward confidently, with tools that work long after your last session.
It is time to become what you must: the strongest and wisest version of yourself.

Getting Started Is Simple
Our intake process is direct and intentional. Here is what to expect:
- Free 15-minute consultation. A straightforward conversation where we discuss your goals, answer your questions, and determine whether our approach is the right fit. No pressure, no commitment, no sales pitch.
- Comprehensive consultation. This is where the real work begins. We narrow down your specific goals, identify the emotional patterns and triggers connected to your smoking, and design a customized plan aimed at producing results in the fewest sessions possible without sacrificing quality.
- Focused, goal-oriented sessions. Once care begins, progress is reviewed regularly and your sessions are adjusted based on how you respond. You will always know where you stand and what comes next.
There is no unnecessary paperwork and no vague treatment plans. Everything is clear, intentional, and built around your progress.
Is This Right for You?
This work is for adults who are ready to quit and who want more than another band-aid solution. You may be the right fit if:
- You have tried to stop before and kept finding yourself pulled back in
- You recognize that smoking is tied to something deeper, whether that is stress, anxiety, emotional reactivity, or patterns you have not been able to shake on your own
- You want clarity, directness, and meaningful change, not open-ended treatment with no clear direction
- The idea of getting to the root cause feels more appealing than coping indefinitely
If that sounds like you, you are exactly who we built this practice for.

Most often it is not the situation, but how we think about the situation that causes our feelings. How we think about situations is based on what we have learned and experienced in the past. Over time we may begin to react in ways that do not help us, and start feeling stuck and unhappy.

I know you’re stressed and exhausted while trying to keep up with the world’s go go go trials, trying to do it all perfectly. This “hustle” mentality makes all of us prone to mistakes and poor decisions. Your mind is overthinking at such a high pace by now that you no longer know where to find the off button, or recall when you turned it on in the first place. Trust me, I’ve been there, and in that dark place is where you start to feel worried and fearful about the future because you don’t feel in control of the now. Sound familiar?
Often, when we seek support through therapy, we seem to underestimate the power of our own role in the healing process. We have all carried metaphorical luggage filled with experiences and events that have impacted our life. I know that it has been hard for you to seek support in untangling those moments from the past that now provoke stress, anxiety, frustration, anger, loneliness, sadness, guilt, depression, or hopelessness. The fact that you are reading this means that you have the intention to become the best version of yourself.
